I took the spices home anyway, and this evening, I attempted "Ravi chickpeas" (also known as "Bhaji"). It was very tasty, although a bit salty for our palettes. I think next time, I will use only half the spice packet for the same amount of beans and tomatoes.
I followed the instructions to a T, until the end, when I added a giant mound of shredded baby spinach. I let the spinach wilt and served the dish immediately. Yum!
